This workshop offers a hands-on introduction to harvesting directly from the cutting garden at Bittersweet Farmstead, one of Verdant’s trusted sources for locally grown flowers. You’ll learn the proper techniques for harvesting tulips while gaining insight into the growing and harvesting process.

After spending time in the garden, our designers will guide you through creating a garden-style arrangement using our Verdure No. 3 Vase, freshly harvested tulips, and a curated selection of complementary blooms.  Once the arrangements are finished, guests are invited to linger in the gardens to watch the sunset over food and drinks.

Experience: This is a beginner friendly workshop with no previous floral experience is needed. The workshop is estimated to be 1.5 hours of learning, hospitality and arranging, followed by time to eat, drink, and enjoy the gardens. Tennis shoes or boots are recommended for this workshop.

The entrance to the property is gravel road through a white gate off of highway 45. Follow the gravel drive until you pass the gray barn on the left and the pond on the right. At this point, attendees can turn left and find a place to park close to the gray barn.
